OP 1156ER ECOTOEC 2.2 TC Competition Retainers: These chrome moly steel retainers are the strongest and lightest available to work with the OP 1519EC racing dual valve springs and are suitable for most competition applications. For very high rpm and HP usages, we recommend the Titanium upgrades. Set of 16 retainers, require OP 1154EC valves and OP 1156EK keepers for installation.

OP 1562ES ECOTEC 2.2 TC Sports Cast PIstons: Same KS quality pistons as the OEM ECOTEC but made to the higher compression ratio specs of the European engines (10.5:1) Sold in set of 4 with rings and pins complete- standard and +.020” O/S available only). If using NOS, Turbo or Supercharger, we recommend the competition forged pistons.

OP 1562FE ECOTEC 2.2 TC Forged Pistons: These are the highest quality forged pistons for use in any racing application for your ECOTEC. High strength alum. forgings, tool steel pins and race quality rings for high power and rpm reliability . Available in std. and +.020” bore and we can provide compression ratios from turbo to full race. Inquire with your engine specs and we can design the proper piston for your engine use. Not recommended for use with stock rods in any racing or high HP applications.

This polished aluminum intake goes from the throttle body to behind the battery area to take in unrestricted air for better power. OP 1571E ECOTEC 2.2 TC Billet Competition Connecting Rods: This set of 4 high quality steel billet rods are precision CNC-machined for ultimate strength and lightness, with maximum reliability in high HP and RPM applications. Complete with high tensile strength ARP rod bolts and high quality wrist pin bushings, these are vital to any high HP ECOTEC- the factory powdered metal rods cannot sustain high HP reliability for long! Come complete with the best Clevite 77 rod bearings too- specify your crank size.

OP 1577E ECOTEC 2.2 TC Fabricated Alum. Intake Manifold: This is a log type alum. manifold made with a large plenum that will mount up to a 75mm LS1 throttle body. Has provisions for injector mounts and requires a new throttle linkage and intake routing. Best suited for racing or off road use where top end performance is desired. Does not include throttle body.

OP 1577FE ECOTEC 2.2 TC Aluminum Intake Flange Kit: Special alum. intake manifold flange to allow you to weld up any design intake manifold to your ECOTEC engine. Over .500” thick and predrilled to bolt up to the cyl. head without any machine work other than resurfacing the flange for flatness after welding process.

OP 1580ES ECOTEC 2.2 TC Sports Lightened Crankshaft: These are production units that have been precision machined and lightened, then rebalanced and polished to better than factory specs. Taking that power-robing rotating mass off the crank builds better rpms and power with improved reliablitiy too. This is a new outright crankshaft, or we can do your existing crank.

OP 1580EB ECOTEC 2.2 TC Billet Competition Crankshaft: This is a full race 4130 Billet steel crankshaft designed specifically for high HP ECOTEC use. The crank comes with stock main bearing and 1.888” rod journals, and must be used with the special billet rods and pistons listed here.

0P 1580ER ECOTEC 2.2 TC Billet Crankshaft- 2.0L. (Destroked): Same as above but this billet crank is the ultimate high rpm HP maker with a shorter stroke for higher rpm and reliability. They are a 3.500” stroke and require special billet rods OP 1571ED and OP 1562FE pistons listed separately to match them to the ECOTEC block.

OP 1580EC ECOTEC 2.2 TC Competition Balance Shafts: This is a pair of racing neutral balance shafts to replace the OEM units for competition use. This requires transfer of the stock gears onto the new shafts to install. Sold as a pair for direct replacement.

OP 1777EC ECOTEC 2.2 TC Sports Exhaust Manifold: These are refurbished OEM manifolds that have been specially machined and ported to give optimum street & sports power gains for your everyday driving needs. Complete with new gasket, hardware and big bore down pipe, these manifolds usually give a 5+ HP gain to even a stock engine, more with more modified engines. They are stronger and wont crack and rust like headers, and give better mid range torque than most headers on the market too. Price includes refundable $75 core charge also.

OP 1777EH ECOTEC 2.2 TC Tubular Competition Headers: This is a set of equal length tubular headers designed for maximizing top end performance, not especially good for street use. OP 1780EC ECOTEC 2.2 TC Throttle Body: Dyno and flow bench tested to give the best overall power gain for the 2.2 ECOTEC engine in street and sports applications. Our 58mm bore throttle body flows almost 20% better than stock. The increased flow and size gives the best overall power improvement and still gives great low end response. Bigger sizes are available for competition use, also. Price includes refundable $75 core fee.

OP 4519EC ECOTEC 2.2 TC A/C Eliminator Pulley Kit: This special cast bracket and pulley assembly replaces the complete air conditioning compressor on your engine to remove the extra weight and load of the a/c system. It frees up HP and makes the belt system more reliable. Combined with the crank power pulley kit it will give a nice power increase on most stock and more on modified engines. Note: Your a/c system can not function if you make this modification.

OP 9515EC ECOTEC 2.2 TC Copper Head Gasket Kit: This special metal gasket is designed for use in high boost ECOTEC engines where heat and pressure will destroy a normal head gasket. Kit comes with special gasket and 4 stainless steel “o” rings for sealing the cylinders. Requires machine work to the head and block surfaces to install, and requires special sealant. Special head studs should also be used for proper clamping loads.
